City of Magic

Bright lights
Shining stars
If you've got it
As great as our's
Then your're in luck

There are bright orange fruits
And deep down in the roots
You'll find peace and quiet somewhere

In the valley of heat
Come find a seat
And settle into a life you never knew

But even so
With the bright lights a flow
Everyone loves to go there

With the parks and the marks
And the Magical Arts

Two cities apart
But one at heart
I would surely love to stay there

Author's note: Written in seventh grade. We had a giant poetry unit, and one day we had to write about a city. If you haven't figured it out yet, it's about Los Angeles (my hometown). At the end it refers to LA as two cities, which would be referring to the San Fernando Valley and the actual city of Los Angeles (like hollywood and stuff).
