Realization hits

And you drown

When you sink

To the bottom

You don’t know

Your journey

Has just begun

Things happen

People turn

Hope disappears

And

Occasionally

You think

What if I could

Just end it?

End it

Over

Done

But sitting at the bottom

Of space and time

You have to realize

That it’s just the beginning

Realization hits

You fall

And when

You get back up

That reality is real

It hurts

But

If you tell yourself

That you are you

Your own person

Your own mind

And the universe is yours

So what if people turn?

So what if hope disappears?

Find yourself

Create new hopes

And when you sink

To the bottom of the ocean

You know what happens?

You grow fins and gills

And swim

See the sun shine again

Because realization is just the beginning
